
Ryota Sakuma is a Ph.D. student at the University of Tokyo, Japan. He worked on haptic UI to support the blind and deaf in 2018-2020, on electrostatic haptics rendering in 2021, and on the structural design for vibration localization in 2022-.
He is interested in developing new, high-impact haptic actuation and design tactile information. In recent works, he has focused on structure design, haptic UI, and human augmentation related to haptics. He adopts hardware, software, CAD, and CAE techniques to advance his research.
